Antergos is a nice and beautiful Linux desktop based on Arch Linux. The new version of Antergos Linux is now available for download. On this tutorial I am going to show you how to install Antergos Linux desktop. First, you may want to download the latest Antergos ISO from here.
Boot your computer or virtual machine with the ISO. On the first boot menu, select Start Antergos Live from the boot menu.
In a moment, Antergos Live desktop should be ready. Antergos equipped with cnchi 0.14 installer. To directly install Antergos, select Install it
Select your language from the list. Antergos supports many languages.
Next, cnchi installer will check your system. If all OK you can continue to the next step.
Next, select your country. If your country is not listed, check Show All Location at the bottom left.
Now select your current Time Zone
Select keyboard layout
Select the desktop environment. If you download the standard ISO (not minimalist one) you can choose the desktop environment for Antergos. You can select one from several options available on this menu.
On this example, I choose GNOME desktop. On the next step, you can choose which features should be enabled.
Next, select how to partition your disk. I choose the first option to erase all disk and use it for Antergos installation.
Select which disk to install Antergos
Finally review the installation summary before performing the actual installation process
Last final step is to create a new user
Click Save and cnchi will start the installation process.
The installation process will take some times. Be patient and enjoy Antergos.
