This tutorial is going to show you how to create Elementary OS ISI Bootable Live USB. This method works on the most recent Elementary OS ISIS daily build version. I will confirmed this method when the final release of Elementary OS ISIS is available. I am using Xubuntu 14.04 to create this Live USB. You can use any other Linux distribution to create Elementary OS ISIS Live USB. It uses the “dd” command to create the Live USB.

First, make sure you’ve downloaded the Elementary OS ISIS ISO. Save the ISO file to your Download directory for example /home/yourname/Downloads.

Now open Terminal and paste the following command. Make sure you’ve attached your USB disk when executing this command.

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

Change the ISO file name with your actual iso file. Also, change the /dev/sdb with yours. This could be different on most system. Execute this fdisk command to see the list of connected disk on your computer

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

The following result shown on my computer:

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

This methods works for me and I can boot my computer with this Elementary OS ISIS Live USB without problems.
