The new version of Linux Deepin 2014 is now hit Release Candidate (RC). Soon, the final version should be available. Here I want to show you How to create Linux Deepin 2014 Live USB. I am using Xubuntu 14.04 to create this Live USB. I love to use the dd command to create my Live USB for most Linux distribution. It simple and fast. Of course there is no persistent mode available.

A. Download Linux Deepin 2014 ISO

First, download the Linux Deepin 2014 ISO. Save the ISO to your download directory for example /home/fitri/Downloads

B. Check the USB Flash Disk

Next plug yout USB flash disk to your PC or laptop. Open Terminal and check with this command

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

It will returned something like this

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

On the example above, my flash disk was recognized as /dev/sdb.

B. Creating the Linux Deepin 2014 Live USB

Still on Terminal paste these commands:

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

Wait until the process is finished. Once finished, simply boot your computer with the Live USB and enjoy the Live Mode of Linux Deepin 2014.
