DockbarX is a nice dock system for Linux which can be used to handle application launchers, applets on Linux. Dockbarx is similar to Docky. Dockbarx 0.91 comes with a complete configuration which can be accessed through Dockbarx preferences GUI. Dockbarx is available through PPA for Ubuntu users.
This tutorial is going to show you how to install DockbarX 0.91 on Ubuntu 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0, Pinguy OS 14.04, Xubuntu 14.04, Elementary OS Luna and many Ubuntu based distributions. To install, add the following Dockbarx PPA repository and install Dockbarx.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dockbar-main/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dockbarx
Once finished, you can open the Dockbarx Preferences where you can set many things such as location, theme, applet behavior and effects.
Here is the look of my Dockbarx on my Linux Lite 2.0. Its pretty cool and I still want to explore it a bit more.
