This tutorial is going to show you how to install Dropxbox on Elementary OS Luna. Drobox is an online file storage which offers about 5 GB free space on the cloud. We can then access our files from anywhere as long as there is internet connection. Installing Dropbox on Elementary OS Luna is pretty easy. The developer already provided DEB binary file for Ubuntu based Linux such as Elementary OS Luna.
Steps to install Dropbox on Elementary OS Luna
1. Download Dropbox binary file
2. Install the DEB file
Use the following command to install the DEB file
For 32 bit system:
sudo dpkg -i dropbox_1.6.0_i386.deb
For 64 bit system
sudo dpkg -i dropbox_1.6.0_amd64.deb
3. Now execute Dropbox from the Application list
You will be asked to continue installing Dropbox by downloading Dropbox files for further installation. Simply follow the wizard until it finished. Once it finished installing, you can start using Dropbox to share files.
