How to install ffmpeg 2.3.2 “Mandelbrot” on Zorin OS 9

The new version of ffmpeg 2.3.2 with code name “Mandelbrot” has been released. This tutorial is going to show you how to install ffmpeg 2.3.2 on Zorin OS 9. You can also use this tutorial on any other Ubuntu based distribution such as Elementary OS, PinguyOS, Linux Lite, Kubuntu, and many others. FFmpeg is a popular multimedia framework, that enables the users to easily ncode, transcode, mux, demux, stream, filter and play audio and video content.

Steps to install ffmpeg 2.3.2 on Zorin OS 9

A. Manually via Terminal

Open Terminal and paste these commands

[/codesyntax]

B. Using gamblisfx automatic installer

Download gamblisfx installer script from https://copy.com/yma7eC9qfMrk

After download, now make the script executable using this command:

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

Now run the script

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

The graphical application will open up. Select ffmpeg from the list and press OK

ffmpeg zorin 9

The installer will automatically install and configure ffmpeg to your system.
