How to install ffmpeg on Ubuntu 14.04, deepin 2014

ffmpeg is A complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video. This tutorial is going to show you how to install ffmpeg on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr and all its derivatives such as Deepin 2014, PinguyOS 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0 and many others. I’ve created an installation script for ffmpeg. You only need to execute it as a program and the installer script will do the rest.

How to install ffmpeg on Ubuntu 14.04

A. Download my script

Click the link below to download install-ffmpeg.sh script

B. Make executable

Execute this command to make the script executable as program

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

C. Install ffmpeg

Use this command to run the script and it will start installing ffmpeg to your system

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

Click Yes to confirm the installation

install ffmpeg

Note: I’ve tested this script on Ubuntu 14.04, Deepin 2014. Other distribution may works as well. Please let me know if you have problem to run this
