Firefox 29 stable with Australis is now available for download. Since this new version of Firefox is not available on most Linux repository, we still can install it manually. This tutorial is going to show you how to install Firefox 29 on OpenSUSE 13.1. If this version already available through OpenSUSE repository, you can easily install it via YaST. The new Firefox 29 features a brand new Australis look which is more modern and easy to access most Firefox tool.
How to install Firefox 29 Australis on OpenSUSE 13.1
Open Terminal and type the following command:
wget ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/29.0/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-29.0.tar.bz2
tar -xjvf firefox-29.0.tar.bz2
sudo rm -r /opt/firefox*
sudo mv firefox /opt/firefox29
sudo ln -sf /opt/firefox29/firefox /usr/bin/firefox
Now open Firefox and it should now updated to Firefox 29.
