Elementary OS Loki comes with Epiphany as default web browser. Its a lightweight web browser but lacks some important features. Personally, I prefer Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to replace Epiphany. So, on this tutorial I am going to show you how to install the latest version of Google Chrome on Elementary OS Loki.
Epiphany on Elementary OS Loki
To install Google Chrome on Elementary OS Loki, you can follow these steps
A. Download the DEP package
https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html
Select DEB package from the list. Please note that currently Google Chrome only support 64 bit computer.
Click Accept and Install to download DEB package.
B. Install Google Chrome DEB package
Open Terminal and install gdebi first to make it easier to install DEB package in the future.
sudo apt-get install gdebi
And then install google-chrome package
sudo gdebi google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
Once finished, you can start using Google Chrome on Elementary OS Loki.
