How to install linux-dash on Pinguy OS 14.04

Linux-dash is a low-overhead monitoring web dashboard for a GNU/Linux machine. You can view and monitor your current system performance and activity including CPU, RAM, Processes, Network and many more. This tutorial is going to show you how to install linux-dash on Pinguy OS 14.04.

Requirements:

  • LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) is installed
  • Linux-dash package

Installation:

First, install LAMP on Pinguy OS. Open Terminal and type this command to install LAMP on Pinguy OS

Install additional package and restart Apache2

Next, download linux-dash package

[codesyntax lang=”bash” lines=”normal” lines_start=”1″]

Extract the package

[codesyntax lang=”bash”]

[/codesyntax]

Now open web browser and type:

http://ip-address/linux-dash

You should see the web dashboard of linux-dash shown
