How to install PHPMyadmin 4.2.3 on Xubuntu 14.04

This tutorial will show you How to install PHPMyadmin 4.2.3 on Xubuntu 14.04. PHPMyadmin is a web based application to manage and administering your MySQL database on a Linux machine. There is a special PPA for PHPMyadmin for Ubuntu system so we can easily install and upgrade PHPMyadmin.

How to install PHPMyadmin 4.2.3 on Xubuntu 14.04

A. Install dependency files

B. Add the PHPMyadmin PPA

[/codesyntax]

You will be asked to enter MySQL root password during installation

C. Configure the web server

[/codesyntax]

When done, open web browser and type http://localhost/phpmyadmin

phpmyadmin xubuntu

If the above steps too complicated for you. I have compiled a shell script to install PHPMyadmin on Xubuntu 14.04. Download the script and do the following command on Terminal to start the automated installation of PHPMyadmin on Xubuntu 14.04
