How to install VirtualBox 5.0 RC2 on Ubuntu 15.04

Oracle Virtualbox development is now reached version 5.0 RC2. This is not the stable release but you may try and test it on your system. This tutorial is going to show you how to install Oracle VirtualBox 5.0 RC2 on Ubuntu 15.04. The new Virtualbox 5.0 brings a lot of improvements and its a major release since Virtualbox 4.0. Since there is no PPA repository available for this Virtualbox 5.0 RC2, we need to install it manually. But don’t worry, installing Virtualbox 5.0 on Ubuntu 15.04 is not difficult. Open Terminal and use the following commands

wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.0.0_RC2/virtualbox-5.0_5.0.0~rc2-101271~Ubuntu~trusty_amd64.deb

or

wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.0.0_RC2/virtualbox-5.0_5.0.0~rc2-101271~Ubuntu~trusty_i386.deb

The command above will download the deb installation package to the current directory. Next, install virtualbox

sudo apt-get install gdebi
sudo gdebi virtualbox-5.0_5.0.0~rc2-101271~Ubuntu~trusty_i386.deb

Change the filename with the file you’ve just downloaded. Now Virtualbox should be listed on your Application menu. Enjoy Virtualbox 5.0 on Ubuntu 15.04.
