This short tutorial is going to show you how to install the new Webmin 1.770 on Fedora 23 system. Webmin is a powerful web based tool for Linux users to manage their Fedora system via web based console. Webmin 1.770 includes many bug fixes and improvements.
Steps to install Webmin 1.770 on Fedora 23
First, download Webmin 1.770 RPM package for Fedora 23. You can easily done this using the following command on Terminal.
wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.770-1.noarch.rpm
Next, install dependency files
install perl perl-Net-SSLeay openssl perl-IO-Tty
Next install RPM package you’ve downloaded
rpm -U webmin-1.770-1.noarch.rpm
Please note that you will need root privileges to run those commands. Once completed, open web browser and type:
https://localhost:10000
Or you may access webmin from other computer on the same network via:
https://your-ip-address:10000
Done.
you also need to enable the port in the firewall:
firewall-cmd –add-port=10000/tcp
