How to upload photos to Google Drive from DigiKam

This tutorial is going to show you how to upload photos to Google Drive account directly from DigiKam application. I am using DigiKam 4.5.0 running on my Ubuntu GNOME 14.10. DigiKam supports various online photo storage such as Google Drive, Facebook, Imgur, PicasaWeb, Imageshack and many more. We don’t have to leave the application in order to upload photos to those online services.

Steps to upload photos to Google Drive from DigiKam

First, open DigiKam and browse the photos you want to upload. Next, go to Export | Export to Google Drive. You will be asked to enter the authorization code. Don’t worry, DigiKam will open your default web browser and you will only need to accept or allow DigiKam to access your Google Drive account. Copy the code and paste to DigiKam as follow.

upload photos to google driveSelect your destination album and press Start Upload. Optionally, you can resize the images before uploading. You can also create new folders in Google Drive from DigiKam uploader.
