Linux Mint 18.1 comes with Firefox as the default web browser. Firefox is a great web browser but for some people, like me, I prefer to use Google Chrome instead of Mozilla Firefox. This tutorial will show you how to install Google Chrome 56.0 on Linux Mint 18.1. Google Chrome is not available in Linux Mint repository, so we need to download the DEB file from the official website.
Steps to install Google Chrome on Linux Mint 18.1
Step 1. Download Google Chrome DEB file
Step 2. Right click the file and select Open With | GDebi Package Installer
You will see the following window opened
Click Install Package to start installing Google Chrome
