Shutter is a free, rich features screenshot tool for Linux. It can be used to replace the standard Screenshot tool on Ubuntu 14.04. Shutter has more tools and features. It has a built in image editor which you can use to add annotation, resize picture and many more. Shutter also lets us to directly upload the screenshots to various online photo sharing websites. Here I want to show you how to install the most recent Shutter on Ubuntu 14.04.
There is a special Shutter repository for Ubuntu users. By having the Shutter repository, we can easily upgrade to the next release if available. So at first we need to setup this repository to our Ubuntu system
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shutter/ppa
Now update system and install Shutter
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install shutter
