The new version of MKVToolNik 7.0.0 is now available for download. Here you will find the download link for MKVToolNik 7.0.0 for various Linux distribution. MKVToolnix is an open source set of command-line and graphical utilities that empower users to extract streams from MKV files, display information about MKV files, merge several MKV streams into one, and split Matroska media files.

MKVToolNik 7.0.0 brings a lot of improvements, bug fixes. The complete changelog can be read from here. To download, select your distribution and follow the installation instruction.

Ubuntu 14.04

Edit /etc/apt/sources.list

and add the MKVToolNik repository

Now update system and install MKVToolNik
