R-Studio 3.5 is a commercial application (paid application) which can be used to recover files under Linux system as well as Ubuntu based Linux. Key features include support for any Linux filesytem that is currently supported in the Linux kernel, such as EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, Btrfs, XFS or ReiserFS, as well as the FAT and NTFS filesystem used by Microsoft Windows operating systems, allowing you to recover data from HDD, SSD or USB devices.
This tutorial is going to show you how to install E-Studio 3.5 on Elementary OS Luna. But you can also install it on other Ubuntu based Linux such as Ubuntu 14.04, PinguyOS, Linux Lite and many others.
Install it using command
sudo dpkg -i RStudio3_x64.deb
Now open the application and you may register for the full version. Otherwise you can only use the demo version for free.
