Sync your files with BitTorrent Sync 1.4.103 on Fedora 20

BitTorrent Sync is a free and useful application to sync your files and data over the internet. You can connect multiple computers, smartphones and connect them via BitTorrent Sync to synchronize files. The new version of BitTorrent Sync 1.4.103 is now available for download. This tutorial is going to show you how to install BitTorrent Sync on Fedora 20.

Steps to install BitTorrent Sync 1.4.103 on Fedora 20

A. Download BitTorrent Sync for Linux

B. Extract the package

32 bit

tar -xzvf bittorrent_sync_i386.tar.gz

64 bit

tar -xzvf bittorrent_sync_x64.tar.gz

C. Run BitTorrent Sync

32 bit

cd bittorrent_sync_i386
./btsync

64 bit

cd bittorrent_sync_x64
./btsync

Now open web browser and type “localhost:8888/gui” on the address bar without quotes

Next we need to add the directory we want to sync. Click folder button on the top right and select the folder you want to sync.
