Turn Fedora 20 into a powerful media streamer using PlexMediaServer

PlexMediaServer is a perfect application to turn your Linux distribution into a powerful multimedia streaming server. The new PlexMediaServer version 0.9.9.14.531 is now available for download. Here I want to show you how to install PlexMediaServer version 0.9.9.14.531 on Fedora 20. In the end, we will have a network multimedia streaming server powered by Fedora 20. Lets jump into the fun.

A. Download PlexMediaServer RPM package

You may click this link (32 bit or 64 bit) to download the latest version of PMS version 0.9.9 RPM package. Or, use this command instead

B. Install the package

You can simply right click the RPM file you’ve just downloaded and select Open with Software Install. If you prefer Terminal to install the package, this command should works.

C. Manage PlexMediaServer

Open a web browser either from Fedora or other computer on the same network. Type the following address:

http://your-ip-address:32400/manage
