Bodhi Linux 3.1.0 is still in development version. But you can download the ISO and test this distribution on your computer or virtual machine. I was downloaded this image and boot this Bodhi Linux 3.1.0 on my VirtualBox and all going pretty smooth. As previously mentioned that this is not a stable version so do not install it on a production machine. I have created some screenshots of this new Bodhi Linux 3.1.0.
Bodhi Linux desktop is a clean and simple on. No icons on the desktop once I boot the Live CD. The big/thick bottom taskbar has become the trade mark of Bodhi Linux. The application menu on the left side and the power button on the right edge of the task bar. Everything was good until I realize that the left click on the desktop will display the Bodhi menu. Its a bit annoying because usually this menu will appear with right click, not left click.
The Start Menu
You will find any installed applications, settings, Moksha theme settings via the Bodhi Start menu. Its a simple start menu, easy to use and it just works.
There are not many installed applications come along with the LiveCD. But don’t worry we can install many software later. Midori is the default web browser on Bodhi Linux. Its a simple and lightweight browser.
I don’t think I will continue to use Bodhi Linux for my work. Maybe just for fun.
