Elementary OS Freya 0.3.2, Simply beautiful but need some works

Just installed the new Elementary OS Freya 0.3.2 on my USB flash disk. Its a nice, simple and beautiful Linux desktop. Elementary OS 0.3.2 is based on Ubuntu 14.04 so, it will be supported until 2018. The desktop is pretty much the same as the previous Elementary OS Freya 0.3. No new background added, still uses the same icon theme.

The new Freya 0.3.2 desktop seems pretty lightweight and there is no lag, even I run from my USB flash disk. All effects run smoothly. The team did very well job at this point. Also, I have no problem booting Elementary OS Freya on my Lenovo E440 series.

Like always, Elementary OS does not shipped in a fat DVD. So do not expect to find bunch software installed by default. Only some basic applications are included. But don’t worry, the Software Center is here for you. You can choose any applications you like to install on Elementary OS 0.3.2.

One feature that most users will love is the search menu on the application menu. Simply type anything and it will display any relevant items. freya screenshot

But, I found a shame thing. Midori is unable to play YouTube videos due to missing plugin. If you are a serious internet browsing addict, I think Midori is not for you. Uninstalling it and change it with Google Chrome or Firefox should do.

Bottom Line:

Overall, Elementary OS Freya 0.3.2 is stunning. Simple, beautiful and fast. With some works we can tweak it to become a better look desktop and better multimedia performance.
