How to add RPM Fusion repository to CentOS 6.4

RPM Fusion is an alternative repository for Fedora, Red Hat and CentOS users. This free repository contains many packages and software for your CentOS Linux. Here I want to show you how to add RPM Fusion repository to CentOS 6.4. Before we can install RPM Fusion, we need to install or enable the EPEL repository first. My previous post about how to install EPEL Repository on CentOS 6.4 should help on this.

How to add RPM Fusion repository to CentOS 6.4

After finish installing EPEL Repository, you can continue to install RPM Fusion repository. There are two different RPM Fusion repositories, Free and Non Free. I presume you are using CentOS 6.4 when reading this article. So, you can install it by clicking the following link.

RPM Fusion Free

RPM Fusion Non Free

When you click, select open with package installer and press OK. It will asking you to install it on the next window. Press Install and type your root password to continue.

Do the same step for both Free and Non Free repo. Once finished, you can check if they are installed correctly. Type this command on Terminal

ls /etc/yum.repos.d
