This tutorial is going to show you how to install Angry IP Scanner on Ozon OS, a Fedora 21 based Linux desktop. Angry IP Scanner is a networking tool that can be used to scan IP address on a network. It will display any active IP address on the network. Its a simple and useful application.
Before we can install Angry IP Scanner, we need to install Java on Ozon OS or Fedora. Check your system if java is installed or not.
java -version
If you have java, your system will display something similar to this
[root@localhost dhani]# java -version
openjdk version “1.8.0_60”
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_60-b27)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.60-b23, mixed mode)
If not, you can install java using the following command
su
yum install java
Next, download Angry IP Scanner. Choose the right architecture for your system. Select the RPM version. Now right click the RPM file and select Open with Software Install.
Done. Now run Angry IP Scanner
