This tutorial will guide you to install Duplicati 1.3.4 on Elementary OS Luna. This tutorial will also works for Elementary OS Freya. But since the final release of Freya is not available, I do not want to focus on Freya yet. Duplicati is a free and open source backup solution for Linux users. It can do many things such as incremental backup and secure backup with AES-256 encryption feature.
Duplicati can backup to the following backup locations: Amazon S3, Cloudspace, File based, FTP based, SkyDrive, SSH based, Google Docs, WEBDAV based and Tahoe-LAFS based. Its a useful backup solution for Linux users.
How to install Duplicati 1.3.4 on Elementary OS Luna
Open Terminal and paste these commands
wget http://duplicati.googlecode.com/files/Duplicati%201.3.4.deb -O duplicati-201.3.4.deb
sudo dpkg -i duplicati-201.3.4.deb
Once finished, you can start using Duplicati to create new backup task.
