Flareget is a rich features download manager and accelerator for Linux. The newest version of Flareget 3.2-42 is now available. This tutorial is going to show you how to install Flareget 3.2-42 on Manjaro Linux. I am using Manjaro 0.8.11 Gnome edition on this tutorial. Installing Flareget on Manjaro or Arch Linux is pretty easy since the developer provides the installation binary for Arch Linux system and its compatible with Manjaro.
Steps to install Flareget on Manjaro 0.8.11
A. Install additional package
Manjaro needs to install libmetalink prior to Flareget installation. Do the following command to install libmetalink on Manjaro
sudo yaourt libmetalink
B. Download Flareget for Arch Linux
C. Install Flareget
cd /yourdownloaddirectory/
sudo pacman -UĀ flareget-3.2.42-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
or
cd /yourdownloaddirectory/
sudo pacman -UĀ flareget-3.2.42-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz
Now run Flareget from the application menu
