How to install fonts on Linux system

This quick tutorial is going to show you how to install new fonts on a Linux system. The most Linux systems store the fonts under /usr/share/fonts. So, we can easily install new fonts by copying or moving the font files to the font directory. Alternatively, we can also copy the fonts to the folder .fonts on user home directory. If this directory does not exist, we can create a new one.

How to install fonts on Linux system

sudo cp DroidSans.ttf /usr/share/fonts
