With FrostWire we can share big files with other users easily. This tutorial is going to show you how to install FrostWire 5.6.8 on Pear Linux 8. Pear Linux is an Ubuntu based Linux so it can use Ubuntu applications on Pear Linux.

How to install FrostWire 5.6.8 on Pear Linux 8

First, Download FrostWire installation file for Ubuntu (DEB). You will have a file called: frostwire-5.6.8.all.deb

Next, right click on the DEB file and select Open with GDebi Package Installer. Press Install Package to start the installation. FrostWire requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to run. Make sure you install Java JRE first before installing FrostWire.

Alternatively, you can also install FrostWire via Terminal using this command

sudo dpkg -i frostwire-5.6.8.all.deb
sudo apt-get -f install

Once finished, you can start using FrostWire on Pear Linux 8 to share your files with other or simply download torrent from the website
