There are many screen recorder application for Windows OS but there are only few similar apps on Linux. Introducing the Simple Screen Recorder. A simple screen recording application that works on Linux especially Ubuntu and its derivatives. Simple Screen Recorder allows us to record the screen activity into a file and we can play the file as ordinary video file.
Simple Screen Recorder supports the following formats: MKV, MP4, OGG, 3GP and many others. Its pretty simple to use. You can select either to record the whole screen or just specific area of your screen.
To install Simple Screen Recorder on Pear Linux 8 simply open Terminal and execute the following commands
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:maarten-baert/simplescreenrecorder
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install simplescreenrecorder
