Owncloud 9.1.6 is now available, update it now

The new stable version of Owncloud 9.1.6 is now available. It is recommended to update to this new version since there are many fixes and performance improvements. If you installed Owncloud using auto-update package as described on this post, you can easily upgrade to Owncloud 9.1.6 via yum update command. This tutorial show you how to update Owncloud on CentOS 7.3 server.

Once the update process is completed, open Owncloud web admin interface and check if the new Owncloud 9.1.6 is installed.

After executing the update command, the owncloud is automatically put in maintenance mode as above. To complete the upgrade process we need to set the maintenance mode to OFF. The following command must be executed under your owncloud installation directory for example: /var/www/html/owncloud.

sudo -u apache php occ maintenance:mode --off
ownCloud or one of the apps require upgrade - only a limited number of commands are available
You may use your browser or the occ upgrade command to do the upgrade
Maintenance mode disabled

Now open owncloud again and we can upgrade owncloud from there.
