I am a Spotify users and I would like to have the Spotify client on my Linux Lite 3.0 desktop. Luckily, there is a simple way to get the Spotify client installed on Ubuntu based Linux like Linux Lite 3.0. If you are a Spotify users, you can follow my guide below to install Spotify on Ubuntu or Linux Lite 3.0.
For your information, Spotify client for Linux is working perfectly on Linux Lite 3.0. I can browse, play, sync my Spotify account on my Linux Lite.
Open Terminal and execute the following commands
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys BBEBDCB318AD50EC6865090613B00F1FD2C19886
echo deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spotify.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install spotify-client
