Plank is a simple dock for Linux. It has function like Docky or Cairo Dock which gives us easier access to installed applications on Linux system. This tutorial is going to show you how to install latest Plank on Linux Lite 2.0.
Slightly, Plank is similar to Docky but I think Docky is more user friendly compared to Plank. To edit Plank preferences/settings we have to edit Settings file using nano or other text editor. Its not practical as Docky has.
To install Plank on Linux Lite 2.0 or Ubuntu 14.04, you can use the following command:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/docky
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install plank
