The new version of Webmin 1.7 is now available for download. Webmin is a powerful, web based administration tool for Linux. You can do many things to manage your server via web browser using Webmin. Webmin 1.7 comes with support for CentOS 7 and RHEL 7 and some other changes. This tutorial is going to guide you on How to install Webmin 1.7 on Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10 and all derivatives.
To install Webmin 1.7 on Ubuntu, do the following commands on Terminal
sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://download.webmin.com/download/repository sarge contrib'
sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://webmin.mirror.somersettechsolutions.co.uk/repository sarge contrib'
sudo apt-key add jcameron-key.asc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install webmin
Once finished, open your web browser and type: https://localhost:10000 or you can also access the webmin dashboard from other computer by typing the following address:
Change server-ip-address with your computer IP address where webmin is installed.
