The new version of Wine 1.9.5 is now available. Ubuntu users may install this version and get the latest update from Wine. Wine is a program that allows us to run Windows software on Linux. Thanks to Wine project, so we are able to run Windows program on Linux/Ubuntu.
Wine 1.9.5 features:
- New version of the Mono engine, with 64-bit support.
- Beginnings of the WineD3D command stream.
- Support for effect states in Direct3DX.
- Drag & drop improvements.
- Various bug fixes.
If you are running Ubuntu, you can install Wine 1.9.5 using these commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wine/wine-builds sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install --install-recommends wine-staging sudo apt-get install winehq-staging
