I just downloaded and installed the new stable version of OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 on my virtualbox. OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 is a cool, stable Linux distribution that is ready for production machine. I select and install the Gnome version and I am pretty satisfied with the performance. After updating the Guest Additions on OpenSUSE Leap 42.1, I get a better performance. The Desktop
OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 uses Gnome 3.16.4, a bit older Gnome version but its very stable, simple and easy to use. A new desktop background welcome us to this new OpenSUSE Leap 42.1.
Application Menu
OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 application menu is very responsive. Make sure you update the Guest Additions if you install it on VirtualBox.
Installed Apps
There are many applications installed by default. LibreOffice 5.0.22, Transmission bit torrent client, GIMP, Inkscape, Firefox and many more. OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 is ready for a new Linux users. Once installed, it should be ready to handle many tasks such as office tasks, photo editing, web browsing, downloading and many more.
