This tutorial is going to show you how to install Opera web browser on Elementary OS Luna. There are several ways to install Opera on Elementary OS Luna. The easiest and probably the best way is to install it using Opera repository for Ubuntu Linux. By installing Opera using this method, we can easily upgrade or update to the most recent version of Opera browser in the future. We do not need to download the Opera binary package each time new version is available.
To install Opera on Elementary OS Luna, please do the following:
1. Install the GPG Key
sudo wget -O – http://deb.opera.com/archive.key | sudo apt-key add –
2. Add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://deb.opera.com/opera/ stable non-free
3. Update system
sudo apt-get update
4. Install Opera
sudo apt-get install Opera
