The new version of MATE 1.8.1 is now available for download. MATE is a nice desktop manager that mostly used by Linux Mint. For Debian and Ubuntu users, you can find the DEB file for this MATE 1.8.1 at the end of this post. If you don’t line Unity or Gnome desktop, MATE could be a good alternative for you. MATE is simple, easy to use and also beautiful. It can be customized to meet your needs.
This new version of MATE 1.8.1 comes with many improvements and updates on the following sections:
